People these days are becoming over dependant on the ‘auto mode’ that’s readily available on their cameras, shunning themselves from thoughts of being able to fiddle with the camera’s settings and taking full control of the camera itself. By doing so, they’re only exposing themselves to the tip of the iceberg, very much limiting themselves to what the functions of their camera is capable of. As a camera’s auto mode can hardly replicate what the human mind perceives the world as in terms of composition and focus, it is necessary that the photographer takes matters into his own hands and fine-tune the camera’s settings to be able to get a crucial shot that can tell an entire story.
Thus, first of all, I would be elaborating on the basics of manual photography, such as the jargons you would possibly encounter on your camera and what they represent, such as the aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and so forth. Once we’re familiar with the basics, I would then proceed to elaborate on how to apply and combine all those functions to get that one, perfect shot.
